Take two photos- one is of the model, and the second is of the same settings without the model. In photoshop, keep the image without the model as the bottom layer and the image with the model as the top. Now use the brush tool to remove the stool from the top layer. You will create a perfect awe-inspiring surreal photo of a levitating person.

Play With Colors

Black and white photos are well known for having surreal effects. But you can always experiment with other colors too. Some photographers like to add splashes of vibrant colors here and there in their black and white surreal photos. It gives the images a new dimension. You can also add different color tones to a particular object, or highlight a certain portion of it. If you want to blur the image during editing, you can do that by duplicating the image layer in Photoshop.

Backlight photography creates a dramatic effect in the photo by playing with the chemistry of the subject and the light. Adding multiple dimensions to the photo it makes the photo look unusual.
